Carved Wooden Manaia on Base (Large)

This beautiful Manaia is Made in New Zealand from sustainably harvested Tulipwood.

It is carved on the Front and has Paua Inlay.

It measures approx 43cm Tall.

It is a great alternative to a traditional 21st Key and looks great sitting on the Mantle Piece or would take pride of place on top of an entertainment unit. It would also make a great gift for a presentation!

The Manaia is traditionally believed to be the messenger between the earthly world of mortals and the domain of the spirits, and its symbol is used as a guardian against evil. In this form, it is usually represented in a figure-of-eight shape, the upper half culminating in a bird-like beak.
