Carved Wooden Manaia on Base (Small)

This beautiful Manaia is Made in New Zealand from sustainably harvested Tulipwood and would be ideal for a Corporate Gift, Trophy, Souvenir of New Zealand and would also make a great alternative to the traditional 21st Key.

It measures 30cm Tall and the Base is 15cm Wide (Left to Right) x 7 cm Long (Front to Back)

It is carved on the Front with inlaid Paua Shell and is plain/flat on the back.

The Manaia is traditionally believed to be the messenger between the earthly world of mortals and the domain of the spirits, and its symbol is used as a guardian against evil. In this form, it is usually represented in a figure-of-eight shape, the upper half culminating in a bird-like beak.
