Carved NZ Pine Waka Stern on Stand (Small)

This beautiful Waka Stern is Hand-Carved from Pine Wood and would an ideal Presentation Piece, Trophy or Souvenir of New Zealand.

It measures approx  19cm High, it is 14cm Long (at the base) by 7cm Wide (at the Base), the Stern itself is 1cm Thick.

Traditionally, spiders were said to have carved the stern and prow of the first waka. That is why the web-like spiral form (known as mata kupenga) features so prominently on the stern and prow of many canoes.
