This beautiful Hei Matau (Fish Hook) is Made in New Zealand from sustainably harvested Tulipwood and has inlaid Paua Shell for the eyes.
It measures approx 42.5cm Tall and the base is 19cm Wide by 13cm Deep
It is carved on both sides.
It is a great alternative to a traditional 21st Key and looks great sitting on the Mantle Piece or would take pride of place on top of an entertainment unit. It would also make a great gift for a presentation!
A Hei Matau/Hook is a carving in the shape of a highly stylised fish hook. They represent good luck and safe travel across water.
