It is made from Rimu and measures 26cm High by 12cm Wide and the Stern itself is 1.5cm Thick.
It has Laser Engraved Designs with Inset Paua Shell.
The Design and Inset Paua is on the Front Side Only, the reverse/back is plain.

Traditionally, spiders were said to have carved the stern and prow of the first waka. That is why the web-like spiral form (known as mata kupenga) features so prominently on the stern and prow of many canoes.
