This beautiful Wahaika is Made in New Zealand from sustainably harvested Tulipwood and has inlaid Paua Shell and ’21’ carved into the front of the Wahaika.
It is a great alternative to the traditional 21st Key.
The Wahaika measures 37cm Wide by 12.5cm and the base measures 39.5cm Long by 9cm Wide by 3.5cm High (not including holders)
Waha-ika means the mouth of the fish. Many Waha-ika have a small figure carved on the side. This figure would be a guardian to the owner and would often be a venerated ancestor.
